On 26 October 2018, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai – Vice Rector of An Giang University and Heads of the University Divisions welcomed the delegation from The U.S. Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City led by Mr. Matthew Alexander Ference – Public Affairs Officer.
The staff of An Giang University briefly introduced academic activities and strengths of the school as well as its developmental directions in the future. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, on behalf of the Rector Board, sincerely thanked the delegates from The U.S. Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City for their supports in the English Access Microscholarship Program for disadvantaged students, scholarships for staff and students of the University...The Vice Rector hoped to receive further supports from The U.S. Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City in connecting An Giang University with institutions and organizations in the U.S. for future staff and student exchange programs and research.
Mr. Matthew Alexander Ference – Public Affairs Officer shared useful information about cooperation opportunities such as English Language programs for staff, funding for educational research projects, USA Corner at An Giang University… He also noted that in March 2019 there would be USA Education Fair in Ho Chi Minh City that An Giang University staff could attend for information exchange with representatives from the U.S. universities.
After the meeting, the delegation from The U.S. Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City attended the closing ceremony of the English Access Microscholarship program and the workshop on education and scholarship opportunities in the U.S. at An Giang University.
