On March 18, 2021, the Research Council of An Giang University accepted 2 studies of the Faculty of Agriculture - Natural Resources.
The study “Producing and applying biofilm from Tacca leontopetaloides (L.) Kuntze at An Giang in food preserving” conducted by Assoc.Prof. Ho Thanh Binh – Vice Rector of AGU as the topic manager and M.A. Vu Thi Thanh Dao – Deputy Head of Department of Food Technology as a member.
The study aims to take the first step in producing food preserving biofilm from Tacca leontopetaloides (L.) Kuntze planted at Tinh Bien district, An Giang province and to compare the preservative effects of tacca film on Citrus hystrix, eggs and sliced mangoes with those of other membrane from chitosan and tapioca starch.
The study’s results will increase the usage and exploitation of An Giang precious resources.
The findings will be a practical document for AGU lecturers, students and researchers. The study has been approved with 86/100 points, rated as Good.
The study “Creating bio-product from isolate actinomycetes that can effectively control Phytophthora sp. causes leaf blight disease on Taro (Colocasiae esculenta)” conducted by M.A Nguyen Phu Dung – lecturer of Crop Science as the topic manager.
The study aims to create bio-product from isolate actinomycetes that can control leaf blight disease on Taro (Colocasiae esculenta). It has been approved with 83/100 points, rated as Good.
