On 10th September 2018, An Giang University held a ceremony to acknowledge Dr. Phan Truong Khanh of Department of Resource and Environment Management (Faculty of Technology and Environment) for his newly achieved Doctorate. Attending the ceremony were An Giang University Rector Board and Heads of the School Divisions.
Dr. Phan Truong Khanh earned his Doctoral degree in Environmental Science from The University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. His research investigates changes of plant structure and carbon storage at U Minh Ha National Park in Vietnam and Muthurajawela Wetland in Sri Lanka using GIS - Remote Sensing.

At the ceremony, Dr. Khanh sincerely thanked the Rector Board and colleagues for their supports and promised to contribute to education and research at An Giang University and community development.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang presented the flowers to congratulate Dr. Khanh for his academic achievements and hoped for contributions to education, research, and curriculum development at An Giang University, especially in environmental majors.


An Giang University so far has held numerous ceremonies to acknowledge its staff’s achievements in education and research. Reported by the Personnel Office, An Giang University has had to date 48 Doctorate holders, contributing to its highly-qualified human resource.
