On January 29th, 2019, An Giang University held a ceremony to honor the new Dr. Phan Thi Thanh Huyen - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages. Attending the ceremony were AGU’s Rector Board and respectful lecturers who are heads, deputy heads of the School Divisions.
Dr. Phan Thi Thanh Huyen attended the postgraduate programme in major of Language Education in the University of Queensland in Australia from January 2014 to December 2017. After 3 years of learning and studying, she successfully defended the thesis entitled “Enacting Learner Autonomy Policy in English Language Teaching: A Case study in Vietnamese Higher Education” and was acknowledged as a Doctor.
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang - Rector of An Giang University presented flowers and sent congratulations to the new Doctor. He hoped that with her trained specialized capacity, she will be greatly devoted to development of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, partly contributing to the enhancement of training quality of An Giang University.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Phan Thi Thanh Huyen sincerely thanked the Rector Board for their concerns and colleagues for their supports during her studying process and promised to do her best to accomplish appointed missions successfully, partly contributing to the overall development of An Giang University.
