On the morning of February 10, 2020, An Giang University held a ceremony to honor new doctors who just returned after their process of studying and researching efforts. Attending the ceremony were the presence of the Board of Rectors and the lecturers, heads and deputy heads of the different units of AGU.
The new doctors honored in this ceremony include: Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung - Lecturer of Faculty of Engineerin - Technology - Environment; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong - Lecturer of the Faculty of Pedagogy; Mr. Tran Nghia Khang and Ms. Pham Huynh Thanh Van - Lecturers of the Faculty of Agriculture - Natural Resources.
At the ceremony, the new doctors expressed their pleasure to be honored by the University, and expressed their deep gratitude for the facilitation of the University and the sharing of the work of colleagues during their learning and doing research. Besides, the new doctors also promised to contribute to the overall development of the University.
On behalf of the AGU's leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang – the Rector - presented congratulatory flowers and expressed his joy when welcoming four more doctors back to the University. He also hoped that the doctors would continue to improve their capacity, co-operate with the university's staff and lecturers, to further promote the training quality of AGU.
1. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hung participated in a PhD program in Environmental Technology at Lodz University, Poland. After researching, he successfully defended the thesis "Treating and reusing gray water for ryegrass".
2.Dr. Huynh Thanh Phong participated in a PhD program in Chinese Literature at Thanh Cong State University. After researching, he successfully defended the thesis "The propagation and influence of the Three Kingdoms and Kim Van Kieu Stories in Southern Vietnam".
3. Dr. Tran Nghia Khang participated in the PhD program of Food Science and Technology. After researching, he successfully defended the thesis "Extraction, classification and determination of protein properties in the by-products of rice milling process (rice bran)".
4. Dr. Pham Huynh Thanh Van participated in the PhD program of Development Studies. After researching, she successfully defended the thesis "Collective risk adaptation to saline intrusion: A case in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta".
