Granting the decision to appoint Associate Professor and honoring 07 new Doctors
On July 4th, An Giang University held the Ceremony to appoint Associate Professor position to Dr. Nguyen Van Chuong – Lecturer of the Faculty of Agriculture – Natural resources; as well as honoring the 07 new Doctors.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Chuong is an expert in the field of Soil Science. His main research field is about organic fertilizer, soil microorganism and agricultural toxicology. He is the principal investigator of the topic “Evaluating the ability to reduce the absorption of asen and cadimi of peanut plants” and “Surveying the accumulation of asen and cadimi in the soil and plants in An Phu, An Giang”, as well as the author of nearly 50 articles published on domestic and international magazines. He has also guided 22 graduated students to complete their researches.
07 new Doctors that were honored at the ceremony are: Cao Van Hon – Lecturer of the Faculty of Economy – Business Administration; Nguyen Hong Hai – the Property Office; Nguyen Van Thanh – the Department of National Defense; Pham Xuan Phu, Ngo Thuy Bao Tran, and Ho Thi Ngan Ha – lecturers of the Faculty of Agriculture – Natural Resources.
Doctor Cao Van Hon participated in the postgraduate program in the Finance – Banking major at the Can Tho University and successfully did the dissertation defense for the thesis “The impact of credit limit to the fund allocation for inputs and rice productivity of farmers in the Mekong Delta”.
Doctor Vuong Vinh Phat participated in the postgraduate program in the major of Principles and Methodology in teaching Mathematics at the University of Education in Ho Chi Minh City and successfully did the dissertation defense for the thesis “Developing the Mathematics communication capabilities of students using scientific discussion in high school teaching”.
Doctor Nguyen Hong Hai participated in the postgraduate program in the Physics major at the University of Science, VNU-HCM, and successfully did the dissertation defense for the thesis “Utilizing bidimensional empirical mode decomposition method to survey the geology structure in the South with magnetic and gravity material”.
Doctor Nguyen Van Thanh participated in the postgraduate program in the Philosophy major at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM and successfully did the dissertation defense for the thesis “Traditional Morality of Khmer people in the South and its effects on the cultural and spiritual life of Khmer people communities in An Giang province today”.
Doctor Pham Xuan Phu participated in the postgraduate program in the Rural Development at Can Tho University, and successfully did the dissertation defense for the thesis “Local knowledge and adaptability on floods of farmers in An Giang Province”.
Doctor Ngo Thuy Bao Tran participated in the postgraduate program in the major of Pathology and veterinary disease prevention at the Yamaguchi University in Japan, and successfully did dissertation defense for the thesis “Research on the contagion from animals to human for new viruses from fleas in Japan”.
Doctor Ho Thi Ngan Ha participated in the postgraduate program in the Food Technology major at the Can Tho University and successfully did dissertation defense for the thesis “Determining the harvest age and utilizing vacuum technology in storing and processing black cherry tomatoes”.
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Chuong and the new doctors expressed their gratitude for the University. They give their sincere thanks to the concerns and help of the University, as well as the work sharing of their colleagues during their study and research. In addition, they also promise to utilize what they have learnt to teach students, contributing to the education development of the University.
On behalf of the University leaders, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang – President of An Giang University gifted them flowers and expressed his wishes for the honored lecturers to continue to further develop the teaching and training quality of the University.
