Welcoming José Rizal University in the Philippines
On June 2, 2023, An Giang University, VNU-HCM, held a meeting with a delegation from José Rizal University to discuss opportunities for cooperation and educational exchanges between the two universities.
The delegation from José Rizal University included Dr. Margie U. Alcaide, the Head of the Department of Education, Arts, and Sciences, and Ms. Eleanor Robles, the Head of the Language Department. The representatives from An Giang University were Dr. Nguyen Huu Tri, the Head of the External Relations Office, Dr. Huynh Thanh Tien, the Director of the Resource Center Community Development, Dr. Nguyen Phuong Thao, the Head of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Nguyen Tien Ngo, the Vice Head of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, and faculty members from various departments.
During the meeting, both parties provided an overview of their universities and study programs that combine academic study with field trips, surveys, and experience exchanges for students from both universities. Additionally, specific topics such as the duration, expenses, and accommodations for students studying in the partner country were thoroughly discussed.
Dr. Nguyen Huu Tri, the Head of the External Relations Office expressed gratitude to the delegation from José Rizal University for their visit and valuable shared information, which will help the university plan for detailed cooperation. Through these collaborative programs, he believed that the relationship between the two universities will continue to flourish in the future.
