Working with the An Giang Cooperative Alliance and Matsuyama Company
On August 24th, 2022, An Giang University, VNH-HCM had a meeting with the delegation of An Giang Cooperative Alliance and the leaders of Matsuyama Company in order to discuss the implementation of the project "Surveying the crop rotation of soybeans cultivated by Japanese agricultural machines in the Mekong Delta."
Mr. Makoto Ota, Director of the External Market of Matsuyama Company, briefly introduced the project. The project is funded by JICA, and its aim is to build a value chain for soybean products, which helps to diversify products, improve soil nutrients and to increase the income of farmers in An Giang province. The project is divided into 4 phases. The implementation time of phase 1 w from 9/2022 to 8/2023. The pilot execution location is Thoai Giang commune, Thoai Son district, An Giang province. He believed that with experience of researching and project working, the lecturers of the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources would implement the project successfull.
Dr. Nguyễn Thị Thanh Xuân, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources thanked the Cooperative Alliance of An Giang province for introducing An Giang University to the leaders of Matsuyama Company. She hoped that there would be a greater cooperation in research and production between An Giang University and An Giang Cooperative Alliance and Matsuyama Company.
