Ngày 28/5/2024, Trường Đại học An Giang, ĐHQG-HCM phối hợp với Văn phòng tiếng Anh khu vực (Regional English Language Office - RELO) của Đại sứ quán Hoa Kỳ tổ chức chương trình bồi dưỡng với chủ đề “Ứng dụng trí tuệ nhân tạo (AI) trong giảng dạy tiếng Anh” dành cho giáo viên, giảng viên của Trường.

On May 28, 2024, An Giang University, VNU-HCM, in collaboration with the Regional English Language Office (RELO) of the U.S. Embassy, organized a training program titled "Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Teaching English".

This program is part of the National Foreign Language Project developed by the U.S. Embassy to promote English teaching and learning using AI technology in Vietnam. It is also a crucial step in implementing the National Strategy for Research, Development, and Application of AI by 2030, as outlined in Decision No. 127/QD-TTg dated January 26, 2021, led by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).

Dr. Christopher Stillwell, a lecturer at Saddleback College (USA) and a senior English language expert, participated in the program, introducing practical applications and the latest AI trends, including Chat GPT, Midjourney, Canva, and Fotor. Dr. Stillwell shared insights on using AI in teaching, from creating personalized learning content to analyzing data for assessing performance. He emphasized that AI not only enhances learning efficiency but also fosters critical thinking and creativity in students. Additionally, AI reduces teachers' workloads, allowing them to focus more on guiding and supporting students.
