On February 5, 2021, An Giang University (AGU) held a closing ceremony of the Vietnamese course for Lao students. Vietnamese language for Lao students was the annual activity of AGU, demonstrating the sustainable cooperation between Vietnam-Lao in general and the two provinces of An Giang-Champasak in particular.
From 2007 to 2015, AGU trained Vietnamese language and university level for 17 students from Champasak and Savannakhet provinces, Laos.
In March 2019, following the decision of the policy of the people's Committee of An Giang province, AGU opened a one-year Vietnamese language course for Lao students in Champasak province, Laos.
Due to the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnamese language courses ended later than originally planned.
During the course, Lao students strictly complied with the training regulations. They implemented the requirements of lecturers as well as seriously took examinations and tests.
In addition, Lao students not only managed their time for work and study properly, but also participated in picnics, cultural and artistic activities organized by the Faculty of Education. As a result, they overcame their language barriers and excellently completed the course.
