Staff appointment and new doctor honoring ceremony
On October 17th, 2022, An Giang University held the ceremony to delare the Decision of the President on appointing Unit head position and honoring new doctors. The ceremony had the presence of the President Board and leaders of the University’s units.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang – President of An Giang University presented the decision to appoint Dr. Nguyen Tran Nhan Tanh as the Head of Institution of Climate Change, and concurrently hold the positions of the Dean of the Faculty of Technology – Engineering – Environment and Head of the Department of Chemistry – Biology Technology of the Faculty.
Dr. Nguyen Tran Nhan Tanh gave his thanks to the leaders of the University for their trust and make a commitment to fulfill his role, making the Institution a strong research center in the Mekong Delta.
On the same day, the University also held the ceremony to honor the four new doctors: Dr. Pham Van Han – Lecturer of the Department of Physical Education; Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Hai – lecturer of the Faculty of Economy – Business Administration; Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Anh lecturer of the Faculty of Economy – Business Administration; and Dr. Nguyen Phu Tho – lecturer of the Faculty of Agriculture – Natural Resources.
Dr. Pham Van Han participated in the postgraduate program in the Physical Education major at the Universiy of Lodz in Poland and successfully did the dissertation defense for the thesis “Physical Education with “Brainballs” to improve English, observation and physical skills for 7-year-old students in Vietnam”.
Dr. Nguuyen Thi Minh Hai participated in the postgraduate program in the Business Administration major at the Newcastle University, Australia and successfully did the dissertation defense for the thesis “Examining the Drivers of Customer Responses to Social Media Experiences”.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Anh participated in the postgraduate program in the Banking – Finance major at the Can Tho University and successfully did the dissertation defense for the thesis “The effect of derivative trading on underlying security”.
Dr. Nguyen Phu Tho participated in the postgraduate program in the Biology Technology major at the Graduate University of Science and Technology in Ha Noi and successfully the dissertation defense for the thesis “Research on the environment stress conditions effects on the exopolysaccharides synthesis of Lactobacillus plantarum bacteria”.
The new doctors expressed their honor in the ceremony as well as concerns and help of the University, as well as the work sharing of their colleagues during their study and research. In addition, they also promise to utilize what they have learnt to teach students, contributing to the education development of the University.
On behalf of the University leaders, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang – President of An Giang University gifted them flowers and expressed happiness as the University has 04 new doctors. He gave his wishes for the honored lecturers to continue to further develop the teaching and training quality of the University
