Welcoming the research team from Hull University and the Agriculture and Forestry University

The Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the External Relations Office of An Giang University, VNU-HCM recently had a meeting with a group of researchers from Hull University (England) and the Agriculture and Forestry University (Vietnam).

The meeting was a chance for the three universities to exchange information about the production, processing, and consumption of aquatic products in An Giang province.
On the behalf of the research team,  Prof. Gunjian Saxena had an overview about the strengths of teaching and research activites in Hull University. The professor also highlighted the seafood collaboration project between Hull University and Agriculture and Forestry University, and the project of Integration of Global and Local Agri-Food Supply Chains Towards Sustainable Food Security. The professor was willing to work with An Giang University and hoped that the research team would be assisted from An Giang University in finding solutions to address food and waste of catfish for completing the study project.
Following the agreement at the meeting, the lecturers of the Faculty and Natural Resources of An Giang University will help Hull University and the Agricultural and Forestry University choose businesses to implement the project.
The representatives of the universities also discussed the potentials and dicrections for cooperation in the future.
