On May 9 th 2018, the Research Committee of An Giang University evaluated the research proposal entitled “An evaluation and comparison of Asen (As) and Cadimi (Cd) absorbability reduction of Arachis Hypogaea using lime and coconut fiber” of Dr. Nguyen Van Chuong – Lecturer in Plant Science, Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
The research aimed at investigating the As and Cd levels in water and soil at Quoc Thai, An Phu District, An
Giang Province and evaluating the effects of lime and coconut fiber to reduce As and Cd absorbability of Arachis Hypogaea.
The chief researcher presented to the Committee
Dr. Nguyen Van Chuong – Lecturer in Plant Science, Chief Researcher
The Committee suggested a change in the research title to “An evaluation on As and Cd absorbability reduction of Arachis Hypogaea using lime and coconut fiber”. There had been reports on the As and Cd levels in water and soil, so the research was of great significance. The findings could be used for teaching and learning in Plant Protection and Science, Biotechnology and other related fields.
The proposal would be modified based on the Committee’s suggestions. The proposal was scored 80.5/100 and approved by the Committee.
