On September 24-25, 2020, An Giang University received an external assessment delegation for an official survey. The delegation conducted an external assessment at VNU-HCM level in accordance with AUN-QA standards for the 4 training programs of the University including: Biology Technology, Food Technology, Software Engineering and Information Technology.
This official survey aims to help the university clearly identify the strengths and weaknesses in the training programs based on which appropriate improvement plan will be made for the AUN-QA assessment.
During two working days, the assessment experts from the delegation studied the self-assessment report, reviewed the evidence and interviewed, exchanged with stakeholders in different working sessions. In particular, the delegation directly interviewed representatives of the presidential board, leaders of the faculties, the quality assurance department; representatives of the faculty's supporting staff and teaching staff in the programs; representatives of students, alumni; and representatives of businesses that employ graduates from the training program.
In addition, the delegation also surveyed the reality of teaching and learning activities of the University, visiting experimental areas and extracurricular activities at the University.
During the meeting with the University after the survey was completed, the experts made comments, preliminary assessments and identified the strengths of the training programs regarding: program design, programs implementation, organizational conditions and quality assurance systems. At the same time, experts also listed points that need improvement so that the program will be more highly appreciated in the coming time.
After the survey at VNU-HCM level, the University will quickly implement solutions to overcome the limitations according to the expert’s comments, to proceed to AUN-QA external assessment on schedule.
