On the afternoon of 28th May 2019, An Giang University held a farewell ceremony for the volunteer Mia Angele Kataisto. Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Dat - the Vice Rector of An Giang University, the board of the External Relations Office, Faculty of Foreign Languages, lecturers and students of the university.
Mia Angele Kataisto is a Finnish American - a volunteer of Teachers for Vietnam Organization. In An Giang University, she worked as a lecturer in English of Faculty of Foreign Languages. This is the second time she has worked in An Giang University. She is highly appreciated for her dedication and friendliness by her colleagues and students.


At the ceremony, on the behalf of the board of the university, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Dat - the Vice Rector of An Giang University expressed his sincere thanks to the volunteer Mia Angele Kataisto for her contributions to teaching and activities to help students practice their English skills. The Vice Rector congratulated Mia Angele Kataisto on finishing her missions well, and he hoped that the university would have a chance to welcome her again. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Dat presented flowers and a certificate to her.


At the ceremony, respectful lecturers of Faculty of Foreign Languages, the External Relations Office, students and the volunteer Mia Angele Kataisto warmly and honestly talked to each other about the process of cooperation, working and learning and recalled memories during Mia Angele Kataisto’s the period time of working here.


Saying goodbye to everyone, Mia Angele Kataisto thanked An Giang University, the External Relations Office, Faculty of Foreign Languages and all students she worked with for their support. Thanks to working in the university, she knew further about Vietnamese people and culture. She hoped that she would came back here to cooperate and work with everyone soon.
