On the morning of October 4, 2019, An Giang University, VNU-HCM, coordinated with Fuji Education Fund (Japan) to organize a scholarship award ceremony for poor students who made great efforts to overcome difficulties and study well.
In this academic year, Fuji Education Fund granted scholarships to 20 students (each of whom received VND 4,000,000 per year and seven of whom are re-granted and 13 newly granted).
Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Dat - Vice Rector of the University and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Loan, M.A. - Head of Student Affairs Department, representative members of Fuji Education Fund from Japan, and 20 students receiving scholarships.
On behalf of Fuji Education Fund, Ms. Fuji Mura sent congratulations to 20 students who were awarded the scholarships; At the same time, she hoped that in the near future, Fuji Education Fund will continue to bring joy to many students with difficult circumstances in Vietnam, especially in An Giang province. She also hoped that the students who receive the scholarship will continue to work harder to build the future for themselves and for the country.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Rector Tran Van Dat acknowledged and thanked the timely and meaningful support of members of Fuji Education Fund to students who have difficult circumstances so they can overcome difficulties and study well. He hoped that the Organization will always accompany the University to provide students with better conditions so they can concentrate better on training themselves to achieve the best results in learning.
On behalf of the scholarship recipients, Pham Thi Thu Huong (a student of DH17PN) thanked deeply for the concern of the University's leaders and the help of Fuji Education Fund. With all gratitude, Pham Thi Thu Huong promised to strive to study hard to obtain the highest achievements so that she can contribute to society later.
After the scholarship awarding session, the students also participated in a talk with members of the Fuji delegation. Many questions raised by students involved Japanese agriculture and information about Fuji Education Fund. On this occasion, Dr. To Buu Luong also gave the book “The Bushido Spirit” to 20 students who just received the scholarship, and also gave 15 copies of it to the Library of An Giang University.
It is known that this is the 13th consecutive year that the Fuji Education Fund awards scholarships to students of An Giang University. These scholarships have contributed to help hundreds of students to study hard and nurture their beliefs in the brighter future.
