On the morning of 6th March, An Giang University welcomed the delegation from Piteå City (Sweden) which was led by Mrs. Brith Fäldt - the Chairman of Community Development Committee, the Head of the supervisory board of start-up projects between An Giang and Sweden.
Attending the welcoming session were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Van Ha - the Dean of Faculty of Environment, Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment, Mrs. Pham Ngoc Xuan - the Director of management board of cooperation projects between An Giang and Sweden and representatives of Departments, Boards and Divisions in An Giang Province.
As for An Giang University, there came to the meeting Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang - the Rector of the University - and representatives of the Faculties and the School Divisions, officers, lecturers and students who all showed special interest in start-ups.
This session aimed to connect lecturers and students in Faculty of Agriculture - Natural Resources, An Giang University, An Giang Biotechnology Center and the delegation of Piteå, Sweden in terms of start-up projects.



At the meeting, Mr. Bo Wiberg - the project leader generally introduced cooperation program with An Giang Province in the project on changing wastes from rice stalk into energies and friendly-environmental goods. He was glad and impressed by the fact that there are many An Giang University’s students concerned about the project. He expected to cooperate with the University in supporting lecturers and students in developing start-up ideas and growing more confident to access the project of which his group is in charge.



The respectful delegates heard Mr. Pham Ngoc Xuan - the Director of management board of cooperation projects between An Giang and Sweden presenting a summary of activities related to a start-up group of the project. Dr. Ho Thanh Binh - the Dean of Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resource, An Giang University introduced overview of strengths of the University and his Faculty.




Officers, lecturers and students raised questions to Project management board and expressed their start-up ideas, showing expectation to be supported in terms of engineering, technology and fees when they might become interns in Sweden.
