An Giang University (VNU-HCM) and Medan Area University (MAU) - Indonesia discussed agreeing on the contents of the Online-based Student Exchange Program between the two universities.

Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan - Rector of Medan Area University (MAU) said that MAU was one of the universities that had passed the Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PK-KM). He said that this Online-based Student Exchange activity was a very new thing at MAU and the discussion between the leaders and lecturers of the two universities was a very necessary prerequisite agreement to implement this Program. He hoped that the suggestions and advice of the participants would serve as legal administrative guidelines for the lecturers and partners to implement the Program.
In his speech at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang - President of An Giang University highly appreciated the idea to switch the student exchange program to online form to replace the traditional one. The President hoped that the participants would discuss in detail how to effectively co-organize the program as well as discuss more the staff exchange programs and research collaboration between the two partners in the near future.
Sharing the experiences in successfully implementing the online student exchange programs with MAU at Kien Giang University (KGU), Dr. Duong Van Nha presented the current student and staff exchange programs, shared experiences and knowledge on organizing the workshops and conferences, the scholarship policy for students as well as the activities to implement the joint research projects between MAU and KGU.
Recently, representatives of AGU (VNU-HCM) and MAU have discussed and agreed on such contents as: the preparation process, the students’ selection and interview process, the coordination mechanism and implementation of the draft Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), the courses that lecturers registered to teach the international students joining the Online-based Student Exchange Program, and the joint research proposals that two universities could do in the future….
In the upcoming time, the two partners will agree on the detailed MoA for the Online-based Student Exchange Program which can be implemented early in the academic year 2021-2022.
