On January 9, 2020, An Giang University organized a workshop on "Manufacturing and using polymer materials" with the attendance of over 50 lecturers, researchers, managers and students of the Faculty of Engineering - Technology – Environment and the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Prof. Gerhart Braunegg - Technical advisor at the National University of Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Natural Resources and Environment, introduced the polymer producing methods from 1950 to 2017 and their positive and negative impacts on the environment; the world's advanced technologies that help reduce the use of fossil materials in the production of polymer; using and reusing environment-friendly materials with low price such as straw or rice husks that can make double profits, reduce decomposition time and help prevent environmental pollution.
The workshop provided researchers with new information on the production and use of polymer materials, considering minimizing the impact on environmental pollution. This was an opportunity for AGU lecturers to exchange experiences in attracting internationally granted projects.
