On January 17, 2020, An Giang University organized a Science Council to consider 2 research projects.
The study on "Research on the ability to process nước quả đường phèn and kẹo dẻo bổ sung gấc from trái thốt nốt” by Ms Vu Thi Thanh Dao, M.A. and Ms Diep Kim Quyen, M.A (Lecturers of the Department of Food Technology, Faculty of Agriculture - Natural Resources) was on the purpose of creating new products with high value which would be able to preserve for a long time and ensure food safety.

The other study on "Synthesis and evaluation of nitrate and phosphate adsorption capacity of Triamine material on Silica carriers" by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Thanh - Head of Training Department and his colleagues, Mr. Phan Phuoc Toan, M.A., Ms Le Ngoc Hang, Mr. Le Tri Thich, M.A., and Ms Nguyen Thi Quynh Anh. This topic is urgent because of the fact that natural water and wastewater often contain an excess of nitrogen and phosphorus. The objective of the project was to determine the appropriate concentration of hydrofluoric acid and the volume ratio of triamine silane in the synthesis of triamine materials on silica carriers (TRI-SiO2); and evaluate nitrate and phosphate adsorption capacity of TRI-P-SiO2 material in laboratory conditions.
The Council appreciated the potential for commercialization and practical application of the projects. Besides, the Council also contributed ideas to the researchers to edit, supplement certain contents, and agree on the usage of words and forms to make the report better.
As for the voting results by the Council, the average scores of the two topics were 80.25/100 and 86.4/100 respectively, ranked Good.
