On December 12 2018, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang, Rector of An Giang University together with Leaders from External Relations Office, Resource center for Community Development had a meeting with delegation from Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong PolyU).

The meeting is to discuss cooperating to carry out community service learning programs for students of both sides.

At the meeting, the delegation from the Hong Kong PolyU informed about their pre-trip in some communes in An Giang province such as My Hoa Hung, My Khanh, Can Dang, Vinh Hanh the days before and said that they would select 1 commune to implement the 2019 community service learning program for students. Especially, this time the delegation of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University proposed to invite Cambodian students to join the community service learning program in An Giang and then invite AGU students to Cambodia to attend the Student Forum on community service learning in order to strengthen the connection between universities and facilitate students to share and learn experiences from each other and to exchange cultures between countries.

Rector Vo Van Thang highly accessed the idea and stated that AGU would support and facilitate to organize the programs smoothly. Additionally, he also appreciated collaborative activities between two universities in the past time and thanked to the delegation to visit AGU.  He hoped that two sides would have more discussion for signing MoU in the near future. 
At the meeting, two universities also continue to discuss the possibilities of inviting experts in community service learning to AGU to provide trainings for the University.
