Last week, An Giang University organized the workshop on “Innovations in EFL Assessments and Teaching Methods”.
The workshops drew attention and attendance of several lecturers from different institutions in Mekong Delta (including Tien Giang University, Kien Giang University, Dong Thap University, Dong Thap Community College) and of many English teachers from different secondary schools and primary schools in An Giang province.

The presenter of the event, Mr. David Courtney, M.A. in TESOL, English Language Fellow, enthusiastically shared his knowledge and experience in the field as well as new trends in English language teaching and assessments, especially focusing on formative assessments, English writing assessments and integrated skills teaching.

Following the presenter’s sharing and demonstration of the techniques, the attendants had opportunities to work in groups, relating their own professional experience in English language teaching and assessments and discussing their action plans and certain potential problems they may face to apply the techniques in their workplace. By the end of the event, the participants expressed their gratitude for the chance of taking part in the workshop, getting new insights into the jobs, and establishing a network for prospective professional cooperation and development.
In acknowledgement of his contributions to the workshop, the organizer, An Giang University, presented Mr. David Courtney a Certificate of Appreciation for his outstanding presentations at the workshop. The attendants were also presented certificates of successful completions.
