On May 17 th 2018, An Giang University and Elsevier Publisher co-organised a workshop on using ScienceDriect, Scopus database and enhancing writing skills for international journal publications. The workshop provided lecturers, researchers, and postgraduate students of An Giang University with essential writing skills for publications in international journals with high Impact Factor in ISI and Scopus system as well as to search for high-quality journal articles.
Attending the workshop were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang – Rector of An Giang University; Mr. Nicholas Pak – Representative of Elservier Publisher and over 100 participants from An Giang University.

In his opening speech, Rector Vo Van Thang emphasised research to be of high importance in upgrading the school on the international ranking list. Therefore, An Giang University staff should take this chance to learn more about using ScienceDirect database and writing for international journal publications as a contribution to research outcomes of the school.

The workshop focused on using ScienceDirect and Scopus Database presented by Mr. Nicholas Pak. Mr. Pak also guided on how to register for a Scopus account, and Elservier would activate user accounts for An Giang University staff until 16/06/2018.
Dr Chau Thi Da – Deputy Head of the External Relations Office also shared some tips when submitting papers for international journals with high Impact Factor in ISI and Scopus system.
The workshop greatly helped An Giang University staff in writing high-quality papers for international journals and spreading their research outcomes worldwide.
